This time, the community meeting was held in Porto, Portugal, from 6th February to 9th February. Porto hosted 6 community meetings: Education, HR&Network, BFC, T&A, Communication, and IT Community meetings. For this community meeting, ESN Latvia received 1 application for Education Community, 3 applications for HR&Network Community, 1 application for BFC, 2 applications for T&A Community, 4 applications for Communication Community, and 2 applications for IT Community. During the community meeting, there were several workshops and sessions.

Vincent - T&A

As an active participant, I engaged in workshops and roleplays, gaining new strategies for volunteer recruitment, team dynamics, and conflict resolution. I will bring this knowledge back to ESN Latvia to strengthen our community.

Aleksandrs - IT

At CM in Porto, I made new friends and connections. Also, the ESN Riga website was highly rated by ITcom participants. On Friday evening I had the opportunity to get to know Portuguese culture by eating local food like crocets and green soup as well as listening Fado music.

Regīna – Communication Community

The Community Meeting gave me an opportunity to explore the communication approaches of different countries and learn from various experiences and best practices. This allowed me to reflect on how ESN Latvia, as well as its local sections, could enhance their communication strategies. We had in-depth discussions about ESN International's approach to communication, using it as a case study to analyze the challenges faced by our National Organizations (NOs) and to learn from successful practices. Key topics covered included Strategic Thinking, Problem-Solving, and Crisis Communication. Additionally, we shared and discussed each other’s challenges, working together to find solutions.
